We are thrilled to announce and pleased to congratulate the Towy Trampers for participating in the significant Trek26 fundraising event for the Alzheimer's Society on Saturday 22 June. They successfully raised a total of £1,270 for this important cause, exceeding the target of £1,000!
The journey started at the heart of the Brecon Beacons, leading through moorland, past waterfalls, and mountain slopes. It began with an ascent to Cefn Cyff to reach the peak of Fan y Big, then continued along a path through woodlands above Talybont Reservoir. The route then followed the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal towpath, circling the outskirts of Brecon town centre alongside the River Usk before tackling one last uphill stretch.
Below is the statement provided by our care coordinator, Bronwen Jones, regarding the event.
We extend our gratitude to all those who contributed through the Towy Trampers fundraising page, at the home, and to everyone who participated. Every donation, regardless of size, is greatly appreciated!
