Kerry has lived in Wales all her life and worked within the Health and Social Care sector for 26 years with a specialism in Dementia.
Kerry has achieved a Pass from Bradford University for Dementia Mapping, holds a Level 3 in Health and Social Care and Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
Kerry is passionate about caring for the elderly and is committed to her team at Danygraig House ensuring they receive intensive training that will equip them with the skills to enhance their resident's quality of life, ensuring they feel safe in their environment.
Kerry's priority is the health and wellbeing of her residents and taking a person centred approach, ensuring that all her team have excellent listening and communication skills and are always sympathetic towards each residents needs, wishes and choices.
I first joined Danygraig House around 15 years ago before moving on to work as a nurse in another home. When Danygraig became residential, I stepped away for a while, but returned about 10 years ago – and it truly felt like coming home.
I hold a QCF Level 5 qualification and have a particular interest in manual handling. Having completed the Train the Trainer course, I take great pride in teaching staff the correct techniques to ensure both resident safety and staff wellbeing.
I am deeply passionate about our residents and committed to providing the highest standard of care.
I look forward to continuing my journey at Danygraig House and embracing any opportunities the future may bring.
