Putting People at The Heart

Towy Castle
Towy Castle was originally developed as a mansion during the 18th and 19th century. It is set in 3 acres of grounds which offer spectacular views over the Towy estuary. It has operated as a care home for over 35 years and for the
last 24 years, has been successfully run by the previous owners.
The philosophy of the home is that the care of the individual is the number one priority and that each resident should be treated with dignity and respect. The overall objective of the home is to have the highest standard of care, thereby ensuring that our residents consider Towy Castle as their home and not just a place to live. The staff at Towy Castle are dedicated well trained people many of whom have worked at Towy Castle for several years.

Feel at Home
All bedrooms have en-suite facilities many with stunning views over the Towy Estuary and surrounding countryside.
Visiting
In addition to providing long term residential care, the home also provides a day care service where individuals can come into Towy Castle for the day and use the facilities. This service provides respite for carers and family members and provides individuals the opportunity to interact socially with others.

Sue's priority is ensuring that her residents are happy, well cared for and valued.

Hannah Price
Deputy Manager
Towy Castle
I grew up in Ferryside, just 10 minutes down the road, and have always had a passion for caring for others. I originally wanted to train as a nurse, but found my calling working with the elderly, where I can make a real difference every day.
As Care Coordinator, my role is to oversee the health and wellbeing of our residents. I check on each resident daily, liaise with district nurses, arrange and accompany residents to appointments, and provide one-to-one support when needed. I also help with the organisation of home care, making sure everything runs smoothly.
What I enjoy most about my job is getting to know each resident personally – spending time with them, building relationships, and helping them feel truly at home. Working with the staff team feels like being part of a family, and together we create a warm, homely environment with beautiful views that everyone can enjoy.
I am currently completing my Level in Leadership and Management in Social Care, which is helping me to grow and develop in my role. My goal is to ensure all our residents receive the very best support, feel happy, and know they are always well looked after.
