The Mountains

With nearly 40 years’ experience across the health and social care sector in Wales and England, Angela is a highly experienced and dedicated leader with a strong track record in managing and developing a diverse range of care services.

Throughout her career, Angela has led medium to large nursing homes, learning disability services, community services and community hospitals, as well as supporting homes through periods of change and turnaround. She also has valuable experience as a previous owner of a small group of homes supporting adults with learning disabilities in Wales, giving them a unique understanding of care from both an operational and provider perspective.

Earlier in her career, Angela worked with the British Red Cross in South East Wales and was also proud to work alongside the Welsh Assembly Government on the Gold Standards Framework and the Social Care Workers’ Code of Practice. This work played an important role in supporting the implementation of these standards across Wales and subsequently into England.

Passionate about excellence in care, Angela is committed to ensuring that high-quality, person-centred care is not simply an aspiration, but the everyday standard for the people who use care services. She firmly believes that everyone should be supported to experience choice, maintain their independence and enjoy a quality of life that enriches and enhances their everyday experiences.

As part of the My Choice Healthcare journey, Angela is delighted to lead the team at The Mountains Care Home, bringing her wealth of experience, passion and strong leadership to create a positive environment where residents are supported to live life on their own terms.
