Celebrating Our People: A Week of Outstanding Achievements

Last week was busy, and very special for us at My Choice Healthcare. We attended the Social Care Top 30 and Social Care Leadership Awards in London on Tuesday – and celebrated Bethan Evans being named in the Top 30, along with Lisa Jordaan winning the Mentoring Leader Award at the Leadership Awards, and Jo Mosses being highly commended in the Quality Leader Award.

Fastrack to Friday, we were delighted to attend the Wales Care Awards in Cardiff, superbly organised and managed by Care Forum Wales. As always, this was a magnificent evening, where My Choice Healthcare were proud to sponsor the Leadership & Management in Small Group or Supported Living Award. We felt privileged to be sat amongst so many amazing people, who work tirelessly every day to make a difference.

We came away with 5 Awards: our CEO, Bethan Evans won Gold in the Outstanding Service category - marking her impact during her 30 year career in social care. To add to this, Bethan was successful in the overall Award at the end of the night, the Spirit of Care, celebrating someone chosen by the judges deemed to have ‘that Special’ something - that extra ingredient that embodies the true qualities required to provide a person-centred social care service.

Doreen (Dottie) Gilbert became the Gold Award winner for the Nurse of the Year Award, Adam Kakouris was the Bronze Award winner in the Excellence in Supporting Function Award and Gaynor Ulberini a Bronze award winner in the Catering category.

We are so proud of our staff and delighted that they received this special recognition - that the judges saw something in them that we are privileged to see every day.

Congratulations to all finalists and winners – you make our sector all that it is!

Llongyfarchiadau mawr i bawb.
