EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Catrin

HR Advisor

I joined My Choice Healthcare in December 2025, which was my first experience working in the care sector. Having previously worked in HR, I was excited to learn more about an industry that is built around supporting people, and it didn't take long for me to realise how rewarding that would be.

I studied Psychology at university, where I developed a real interest in human behaviour, motivation and what helps people thrive. Looking back, that's probably what drew me towards a career in HR. I enjoy getting to know people, understanding what matters to them and helping create an environment where they can do their best work. At My Choice Healthcare, that means supporting the incredible people who care for others every day.

One of the things I love most about my role is that no two days are the same. I have the opportunity to work with colleagues from all areas of the business, from carers and activity coordinators to maintenance teams, managers and head office staff. Everyone plays an important part in delivering great care, and I enjoy being able to support them throughout their journey with My Choice Healthcare.

One of my highlights since joining My Choice Healthcare was attending the staff conference. It was fantastic to meet colleagues from across the organisation, celebrate achievements and build relationships with people who share the same passion for making a difference.
I also love visiting our homes and seeing first-hand the compassion, kindness and dedication shown by staff. Whether it's organising activities, sharing a laugh with residents or simply brightening someone's day, there is a genuine commitment to making life as enjoyable, safe and fulfilling as possible. One of my favourite things about visiting is hearing the singing throughout the homes; it always brings a smile to my face and perfectly captures the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes My Choice Healthcare and its homes so special.

What I enjoy most about working for My Choice Healthcare is being part of an organisation where its values are reflected in everyday actions. I'm proud to support the people who make such a positive difference to residents' lives and to be part of a team that genuinely cares.
